The Chorus comes together for the first time a week prior to the concert. This is an intensive day focused on technique, interpretation, and blend
Concert Saturday:
9th October 2010 – Worcester Cathedral

The day starts with a gentle morning session, an afternoon rehearsal with the orchestra and soloists, followed by the evening concert.
To sing in the concert, full attendance on both Saturdays is compulsory.
Young singers
The Elisabeth Holden Young Singers Awards Thanks to the generosity of a special grant, singers under the age of 28 may enrol for the Annual Concert for only £10.
Singing Mentors MFC is introducing a mentor scheme, where each young singer is given a contact person within their voice part, of a similar age.
MFC has two designated Child protection representatives within the committee.
Scores
You will need to provide your own copies of the scores, or buy them through us.
Folders
You will need to use a Midland Festival Chorus folder. If you do not have one, we will provide you with one on Rehearsal Saturday on payment of a deposit
Homework CD
In May, all singers receive a specially recorded CD relevant to their voice part, together with detailed conductor’s notes. This enables all singers to arrive on Rehearsal Saturday in October note perfect and with an understanding of how the conductor will interpret the music.
